Both my brothers and I had the priveledge of having Mr. Griesmeyer as a teacher. Northridge was a better school because of his teaching. Our prayers and sympathy go out to the family.

Mr. Griesmeyer was one of the finest men and teachers it has been my priviledge to know. My self and both my brothers Keith & Grant & my oldest son Gary, were priviledged to have him as a teacher, advisor and friend. I too, remember our convention to elect class officers and I think Dave helped me get hooked on politics. I understood more how our governments was supposed to work after having been one of his students. Our community was a much better place for having Dave Griesmeyer in it.

Mr. Griesmeyer was such a wonderful teacher and a powerful influence in my life. I remember history class when he made simulations out of historical events and we actively participated and learned. I remember the gym filled with students as we created a convention to elect our class officers. I remember the closet in his classroom filled with a variety of books that he used to encourage us to read. I remember him as an advisor for Pep Club and his hospitality when he had us over to his home for hot dogs. I remember his keen ability to know when a student was having problems and the sensitive way he worked with them. I remember his special gift of encouragement to myself and others. As an educator I will remember many of the lessons I learned from Dave Griesmeyer and hope to pay it forward to others I meet in my lifetime.

Mr. Griesmeyer was a great teacher. He would make us laugh and enjoy our time in class. Little did we know, he was teaching us at the same time. His family will be in my prayers. Class of 1974.

I was fortunate to have Mr. G. as one of my friends at all of the Kiwanis meetings I attended as Key Club Lt. Governor for Division 4 at Northridge High School. He was a wonderful man who always made everyone feel welcome.

Mr. Greismeyer was a great teacher and encourager to his students. I have pattern the way I teach today after the way he taught and treated his students. Northridge High School was blessed to have Mr. Griesmeyer on thier staff. I was like many students got to see what MR . Greismeyer was like outside of the classroom by attending parties he would have for his students in his home. My prayers and thoughts are with his family and many friends. Tim Harris class of 1974

Mr. Greismeyer always wanted to make sure every single student, whether they may have been a top student/athlete or one that was a little less smart, a little less athletic, a little less pretty, a little more heavy or a little more shy to feel a part of our school by encouraging participation. He succeeded. I learned more about current events from Mr. Greismeyer's class than I ever learned from the media. His methodology of teaching was unsurprassed. He will truly be missed by every single student who had the privilege of calling him "my teacher." To his friends, family and collegues, my sincerest sympathy. Thank you, Mr. Griesmeyer, for making the Northridge Class of 1975 the responsible, caring adults we are today.

Mr. Griesmeyer was the finest example of a great teacher. I knew him for over thirty years, and his teaching--and his work with Key Club and Kiwanis--has had a profound and positive impact on me throughout my life. And on so many, many others, as well. I always made it a point to visit him when I was in Dayton, and my sincere condolences to his many friends and family. I will miss him very much. Thank you, Mr. Griesmeyer, for all you have selflessly done for me and so many others.
