I was born right after his marriage to Aunda. I remember his family growing up on Anchor dr. in Dayton. He always was a very interesting man. I remember him moving to St Paris and visiting them on the farm. He just loved that place. I fished at his pond and at Lake Erie with him and the family. I am just updating previous comments. I think about him a lot, along with my other Uncles and Aunts that are gone.

Hi, I was thinking of "The Leens," (Ralph, Janet, and Steve) and decided to Google Ralph, to my dismay. I'm sorry to Janet and Steve on the loss of your dad. He was a really sweet, and funny man. I was his massage therapist in California for a while. I enjoyed his stories and every time you all came in together. Sincerely, Kyong-Mi "Mimi" Arcala

My grandfather was the kindest, gentlest man I knew next to my dad. He gave me words of wisdom throughout the years and told me more stories than I can recount. He could always be heard singing throughout the house in his deep boisterous voice and it brought joy to those around him. In the last several months my grandfather's health had deteriorated. He made it 89 years with a family that he taught to be independent and strong. Not only was he my grandfather, but he was my Godfather. I know he did right by the Lord and trust where he has gone is a much better place than here. I love you Gpa!

I remember the days from Anchor to St Paris.
Family gatherings at both locations, Picnics around the lake in St Paris.
I remember a fishing trip to Lake Erie,He said he never saw waves like this in the Navy. After fishing a group of us headed back to St Paris where we cleaned perch all night long with Aunt Aunda supervising.
Uncle Ralph was always kind and we could always count on story.
He will be missed and now he is with my parents and Aunt Aunda.

To Uncle Ralph's family:
We were so sorry to hear about your loss. I haven't seen uncle Ralph for a long time but I got little bits of news every so often. Sounds like he had a great life and gave so much love to his family. I know he will be missed by all of you. May you all find comfort knowing he lived life to its fullest.
