News Death Notice
PIATT, Rhonda K. "Ducky" age 47, of Dayton, passed away February 13, 2014. She was born February 7, 1967 to the late Charles Walters and Mary Watson. Rhonda is survived by her husband, Kevin Piatt; sons: Michael (Erica) Piatt, Jesse (Elisha) Piatt and Jordan (Shannon) Piatt; 4 grandchildren: Mikey, Chloe, Kaylei and Maddy Kay; sisters: Michelle Walters and Sharon Walters; brother, Brannon Walters; sister-in-law, Tara (Jeff) Smith; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rhonda was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a huge heart and always put others before herself. She will be dearly missed by all. I am in utter disbelief and can't imagine her being gone! I just found this out tonight and cannot imagine the pain you all have endured. I am so sorry for your loss. Rhonda and I were co-workers and great friends for awhile. I was just thinking about her Saturday while my daughter Katelyn and I were playing bingo. Rhonda and I would go religiously to box 21! We had so much fun. I wish I would have kept in touch over the years and am ashamed I got consumed by the day to day life of working and taking care of the family. Kevin, Michael, Jessie and Jordan I am so sorry. I loved her so much and am glad she was a part of my life. Michelle my heart breaks for you, I know how close you two were. Ducky...you always said I was the strong one..but I never was..you were...you lived your life like you wanted...you raised three beautiful and strong boys...you were never alone because you had the love of your life..kevin..by your side..supporting you..loving you unconditionally..and everything kevin did was all for you..kevin loved you from the first time he talked to you on ohio street..the rest of that first meeting is history..you two raised your sons..you shared and enjoyed your granchildren...and you and kevin did all this for the 33 years you shared your life as husband and wife...ducky when you left you took with you a big part of me that will only be restored when we r togethor again..and we will be..someday..I love you so much..it was always michelle and ducky...always..now you are where my eyew cant see..but I feel you around me..and you comfort me..I do not know how im suppose to carry on my life knowing you arent a phone call away or just down the street...you were my greatest support..you were my best friend..you were the person I looked to for answers..you where so much to me..I cannot imagine my life here on this earth without you in it..ducky I love you..I love you ducky..ill find comfort in knowing what you wanted me to do...you told me that night before you left us..that I have nothing to fear..that no one can take anything from me and not live in fear...so im gonna honor you my sweet sister..by being stronger..more confident and always remembering your words to me that night...im no longer a whole person because you were half of me..but I will carry on and think of you always..ill see you there ducky and oh what a joyious day that will be.
