CHRISTY, Robert Forrest 84, passed away doing what he loved, spending the afternoon in the yard after having lunch with his wife of 64 years, Marjorie Ann Christy. Bob was a loving and devout husband who never missed a week of bringing home a bouquet of flowers for his wife. He was born January 25, 1931 in Woodsfield, Ohio to the late Thomas and Freda Christy. He is also preceded in death by his sister Ethel Doughtery and a brother Tom Christy. Bob is survived by his wife Marjorie, their daughters; Bobbi McClain and Vicki Hoopes, sisters; Marjorie Scott, Shirley Weagle, and Donna Baker, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bob was a faithful member of the Kettering Church of Christ and served as a staff sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and was a past member of the Senior Olympics softball team. He will be forever missed by all those he truly inspired. Family will receive friends 2:00PM-5:00PM Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- Far Hills Chapel; where funeral service will be held 11:00AM Monday. Burial to follow David's Cemetery.
