Robert Daganhardt Obituary

Daganhardt, Robert "Casey"

Robert "Casey" Daganhardt, age 70, passed away on August 25, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on November 21, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to parents, Charles Robert Daganhardt and Jane Roudebush Daganhardt.

Casey graduated from Fairmont West High School, where his exceptional athletic abilities earned him multiple scholarships. As a student-athlete, he excelled in both football and tennis, earning all-league honors as a Free Safety and Defensive Back in the Western League of Ohio. He also earned all-league recognition in tennis for both singles and doubles in the Western Ohio League. Casey began his college journey at Bowling Green State University on a tennis scholarship before transferring to Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, where he competed as the top player in both singles and doubles. After attending Stetson University, he earned his Doctor of Law degree from the Stetson College of Law.

He enjoyed a distinguished law career spanning more than 35 years, during which he was respected for his expertise, dedication, and integrity. Following his retirement from law, Casey devoted over seven years to teaching in the Knox County School System, where he always encouraged his students. He was also actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Florida, Ohio, and Tennessee State Bar Associations, as well as the Attorney Trial Lawyers Association.

He was a devoted and loving husband to Staci-her best friend, soulmate, and the love of her life. They shared a deep bond and approached life as true partners, finding joy in every moment together. As a father, he was caring and supportive to Alex and Liz, and wanted to be the best "Papa C" for his grandson Owen.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; father, C Robert Daganhardt of Granville, OH; and uncles and aunts, George & Nancy Roudebush of Chardon, OH, Tim & Ruth Roudebush of Overland Park, KS, and David Daganhardt (uncle) of Florida.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Staci Lincoln Daganhardt; his mother, Jane Roudebush Daganhardt; his son, Alex (Lisa) Daganhardt; his daughter, Liz (AJ) Lewis; and his beloved grandson, Owen Daganhardt Lewis, whom he adored and was beyond proud of. He is also survived by his sisters, Holly (Fred) McConnaughey and Amy (Penn) Whitlow; his brother, Craig Daganhardt; his father-in-law, James Lincoln; his sister-in-law, Kelli (Chuck) Smith; nieces Claire McConnaughey Murray, Hilary McConnaughey Page, and Paige Daganhardt Phillips; nephews, Aaron Daganhardt, Penn Whitlow, Sam Whitlow, and Robb Hinton; also his godson, Mason Webb. Casey is also remembered fondly by his great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous cousins.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel (11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934). A service will follow, led by Rick Molchan and Dylan Fink. A Celebration of Life will be held in Ohio at a later date.
