TRAUDT, Ronald H.

"Ron"

Retired Colonel

Age 81, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away January 28, 2021, after an advanced 20-year

battle of Parkinson's. Ron was born August 3, 1939, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to the late Hilmer and Gladys (Kyne) Traudt. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in

Omaha with a bachelor's

degree in Industrial Engineering and continued his education receiving a master's degree at Troy University in Alabama.

Retired United States Air Force Veteran of Vietnam. During Ron's 26-year career he was dual rated as a navigator and

pilot who flew Air Lift in Vietnam and C119 Gunships. His last tour, he finished as Chief of Staff at the Aeronautical Systems Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. After his

retirement in 1988 he began his own consulting business, RHT Consulting. Ron was able to make one last trip to Washington DC, in 2019 with the Honor Flight program. Ron leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years Loretta M. (Shukis) Traudt of Dayton, Ohio, son Ronald William (Tonya Carter)Traudt, grandsons Amen Jayce Traudt, and Darien

Carter all of Catawba, Ohio, daughter LaRene Yvonne (Cpt. Keith Hudgins) Traudt Hudgins of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and granddaughter Kate Hudgins of Jacksonville, Florida, a host of nieces and one nephew. Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Ron's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinsons.org.
