Gentry, Rosella Mae

Rosella Mae Gentry, age 93 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1930 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Dorothy Pearl (Mills) Cayse. On February 11, 1947, she married George W. Gentry and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2007. Rosella had previously worked for K-Mart and Lums Restaurant. She was a long-time member of East River Road Baptist Church where she served as the Financial Secretary, Sunday School Teacher and sang with the choir. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Donald) McDuffee; her son, Brian Gentry; grandchildren, Tricia and Steven McDuffee; siblings, Delores (Norman) Campbell and Robert (Janet) Cayse; nieces and nephews, Richard Gentry, "her favorite" Wayne Gentry, Ted and Jeff McCreadie, Sherry Harrison, Vickie Seaman, Terry Poole, Gayle Briggs, Connie Cayse-Horan, Lee Cayse and Stephen Chapman; and her best friend Karen Willis. She was also preceded in death by her sons, George Marshall Gentry and Michael Steven Gentry; siblings, Elsie Chapman, Ruby Peter and Emmanuel Cayse Jr. The family would like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati and Huntington Court for all their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to East River Road Baptist Church, 4525 River Road Fairfield, Ohio 45014. Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with ceremony at 12pm. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
