Roy McIntosh Obituary


News Death Notice

McINTOSH, Roy E. age 73 of Brookville, formerly of Butler Twp., passed away Friday may 27, 2011 at Cypress Point following an illness. He was born August 13, 1937 in Haddix, KY son of the late Alfred & Blanche (Strong) McIntosh. Roy was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a retired employee of Delphi Div. of General Motors. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Gail McIntosh; his children Johnny & wife Anita McIntosh of Columbus, Gary & wife Donna McIntosh of Lewisburg, Teresa & husband Jeff Hall of Brookville; one sister Patricia & husband Lloyd Watts of Middletown; 5 grandchildren Carolyne McIntosh, Matthew McIntosh, Traci McIntosh, Haley Hall, and Harry Hall. Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 31 at 11:00am at Polk Grove United Church of Christ with Pastor Dan Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or to the Alzheimer's Association in Roy's memory. Arrangements in care of Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.

Jeff and roy's entire family and friends, my deepest sympathy and prayers, goes out to everyone who ever came in contact with roy, one of the nicest person you would ever want to meet. i worked with roy, at delphi, and looked up to him as a jobsetter, he taught numerous things about the job in the press section, to help me go forward in my job and gave me knowledge to where i also became a jobsetter. my condolences to the entire family.
