Dear Jerry, Karl and I were so saddened to learn of your sweet sister's passing. You have our deepest sympathy. I had planned to attend the visitation this afternoon, but Karl did not want me to drive out of town. I caused an accident in September, and he is leery about my driving since then. Karl's health prohibits him from coming with me. He is on kidney dialysis two times a week, and Friday at 11 a.m. is one of the two sessions. Afterward, he is just wiped out for the rest of the day, and I think he wants me nearby in case he would need me for any reason. Please accept my apology for not being there. May God bless you and bring you peace at this sad time. She was lucky to have you for her brother, and you were lucky to have her, too! With love and sympathy to you and all the family.
