1984 - 2017

HOWALD, Sarah Jane 33, of Springfield, gained her angel wings on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 following many years of struggling with kidney disease. She was born in Springfield on January 14, 1984, the daughter of Roy W. and Melanie S. (Wood) Howald II. Sarah loved to laugh, loved music, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her father of Urbana; fiance', Jason Perdue; a sister, Ashley Howald and her fiance', Josh Legge; a brother, Rick Howald; nieces and nephews, Allyson, Hunter, Cannon, Grace, Naethyn, Aubrey, and Joshua Jr. Also surviving is a special cousin, Ray Howald; a sister-in-law, Michelle Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother on January 10, 2017. A celebration of Sarah's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Craig Grammer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
