Scott Jones Obituary
Scott H. Jones, age 75, of Harrison, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. He was born on March 31, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH, to Donald Jones and Joyce (Fite) Jones. Scott was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Bronze Star Medal. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed family trips to the boundary waters of Minnesota and to Gulf Shores, Alabama. He was also a passionate gardener who maintained an ever-expanding vegetable garden and orchard. And most memorably, Scott was a devoted husband, loving dad, and proud papa. Scott is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen Jones; his mother, Joyce Jones; children, Ben (Sarah) Jones and Beth (Marie Matrka) Hoskins; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Gwen, Brayden, Owen, Drew, Stella, and Julia; brother, Jeff (Carla) Jones; and his nephew, Travis (Breanne) Jones.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Donald Jones and his niece, Rachel Jones. A visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Darrtown Cemetery.
