Sean DEHAN Obituary
News Death Notice
DEHAN, Sean Daniel age 35 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. He is survived by his wife, A. Hardie Davidson; parents, Dan and Denise Dehan; sons, Tyler (9) and Logan (6); and brother, Brian (Amy) Dehan. In his death, he showed as much Grace and Courage as he did in life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5086 Burkhardt Rd., Dayton, OH 45431. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 5-8pm at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Esophageal Cancer Action Network, P.O. Box 243, Stevenson, Maryland 21153 or Memories of Love, 4932 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257. Condolences may be expressed to his family at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.

Our deepest sympathy to the Dehan family. Our children swam on a summer swim team with Sean when he was a teenager. My youngest son, Christopher, was only 5-6 years old at the time and he admired and adored Sean and wanted to grow up to be just like him. Sean was a fabulous role model.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to the family of Sean Daniel Dehan. During his short stay at Kettering Hospital, I was blessed to be able to care for Sean and also his family. I found myself feeling like I have known Sean for awhile even though it was for a short time. From what I know, Sean was a very sweet and kind hearted person. Sean and his family, his wife Hardie, his mother Denise and his sons Tyler and Logan became very close to me. I thought about Sean often, even after my shift was over. He was so young but he made his mark on us all...especially his boys. No one would have blamed him for phoning it in, but no, he was a hands on father teaching them daily how to be men. Please accept our sympathy. We met Sean at Michelle's house during a brief visit. Unfortunately we can't say we knew Sean personally. Hearing of his fortitude, tenacity and courage he demonstrated as fought the disease, we now know we missed an honored privilege to have been his friend.
