PETTY, Mr. Shelley Miles 69, a native of Gaffney, SC born to the late Ivey Petty, Sr. & Vinnie Veola Wood Petty. Departed Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Reared in Lexington, NC. A member of Omega Baptist Church. He worked as a barber for a short time, then found his passion as a butcher and worked in that field until his retirement. Shelley leaves behind his loving wife Angela (Grossley) Petty; 2 loving & devoted daughters, Traci Petty West & Lexis Petty of Dayton; 3 caring sons: Darren & Keylon Petty, Dayton and Brandon Petty, Warren, MI; one of his greatest buddies, his grandson, Solomon; 2 sisters Vinnie Garland & Carolyn Jordan of Lexington, NC; 3 brothers Ivey Petty Jr. (Vera), Winston Salem, NC, Gregory Petty (Eula), High Point, NC & Charles Petty (Dixie) Lexington, NC.; special aunt, Pauline "Gal" Smith Lexington, NC; a host of other aunts, uncles, family and friends. Funeral Service 11AM, Saturday, Dec 17, 2011 at H.H. Roberts, 38 S. Gettysburg Ave. Family will receive friends 10-11AM. Rev. Daryl Ward officiating. Interment Jeffersonview Cemetery. HHRoberts.com
