I met Sue the summer before 8th grade. Her father had married the widow up the street. My sister said go up the street and meet the new girl who will be in your class. So I walked up the street she opened the door and said Hi, I'm Sue. I said I am Bert [short for Roberta.]And so it goes we became friends that day. We walked to the bus stop together all 4 yrs. @Carroll High School. We went to the hs. reunions together. I was fortunate to see Sue 2 days before she passed. I said Sue it's Bert. She opened her eyes and had a great big smile on her face. Then she said "crazy" I guess that sums up our relationship. I will miss her so much as I know everyone that loved Sue will miss her so. Especially her children and grandchildren and classmates from Carroll.
