Susan TERBAY

1947 - 2018

TERBAY, Susan Handle 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 12, 2018. She was born on January 2, 1947 in Dayton OH to Charles and Susan (Myers) Handle. Susan worked for Hospice of Dayton for almost two decades. She coauthored a book about those stories and experiences called Gifts. Following her years at Hospice she worked with the Marianists at Mount St John and at the University of Dayton. Susan recently retired from the University of Dayton's Campus Ministry office. Susan married John Terbay on June 21, 1969 at Immaculate Conception Church. Susan is lovingly remembered by her children; Jennifer, Jacqueline, Jocelyn, John, James, Jeanette and their families including her grandchildren; Liam, Simon, Amira, Chirison, James, Shalinn, Dominick, Joseph, Emily; and her nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Susan, and her sister; Kitty Bea Anthony. The Visitation will be held on Thursday July 26th from 5-8pm at Tobias Funeral Home-Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Avenue, Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday July 27th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Smithville Rd, Dayton. A grave side service will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
