Family-Placed Obituary
SIPE, Thomas L. Sr., age 68 of Brookville, OH, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Good Samaritan hospital. Born July 10, 1939 in Dayton, he is a son of Robert C. & Velvie Olene (Lewis) Sipe. Mr. Sipe served with the US Army 101st Airborne from 1958 - 1961. He retired in 1994 from the Inland Division of GM after 30 + years and had worked at both the Vandalia and Third St. Plants. Member and Deacon of the Community Christian Church in West Alexandria. Preceded in death by father Robert in 1995. Survived by wife Shirley L. (Burcham) Sipe whom he married October 14, 1961: children Cindi Habegger & husband Jeff of Beavercreek, OH; Tom L. Sipe, Jr. & wife Edie of West Alexandria, OH; and Mike S. Sipe of Brookville: grandchildren Bob and Brandon Herr, Sammi and Tommy Sipe: mother Olene Sipe of Miamisburg, OH: sister Peggy Powell of London, OH: brother David Sipe & wife Janice of Miamisburg: mother-in-law Betty Burcham of Eaton, OH: brother-in-law Marvin Burcham & wife Judy of West Alexandria: sister-in-law Peggy Toney & husband Al of Eaton: numerous nieces and nephews: special friends and family Mike Herr, Jim & Kathy Silva and family; and Dick & Judy Bauer. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Community Christian Church - SR 503 South - West Alexandria. Pastor Doug Bottles presiding. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria; and from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Monday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Dayton. Interment Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria. www.preblememorygardens.com

Our condolences to the Sipe family. We worked with Tom for a period of time with The Car Shuttle and enjoyed Tom's sense of humor and stories about his dog. His Family is in our prayers. We will miss him.
