News Death Notice
MASON, Walter Francis born in Brooklyn, NY on September 17, 1918, passed away on December 25, 2010 in Nashville, TN. Preceded in death by daughter Dorothy Sova, Survived by his wife Carol Barnet Mason; children: Daniel Mason of Lexington, KY, Margaret Mason of Detroit, MI, Ann Mason, and Mary Weaver of Columbus, OH, Katharin Mason-Wolf of Toledo, OH, Kevin Ryan of Nashville. Locally he was an engineer at Rockwell in Columbus and Logican and Technology Inc. in Dayton, Oh. Later he went on to work as a program manager for Hughes Aircraft in Fullerton, CA from where he retired. Recently lived in Florida before residing in Nashville. Funeral Mass was held at Assumption Catholic Church, where he was a member, on December 29, 2010, with interment in Middle Tennessee Veteran's cemetery with Military Honors. Ellis Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Nashville. TN.
