William Miller Obituary

MILLER, William W. "Bill" Age 83, of Springfield, passed away January 15, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born January 5, 1935 to the late Arden and Rhea (Stanton) Miller in Chicago, IL. He married Evangeline Winkleman on September 15, 1962 and she survives. Other survivors include his two sons, Scott (Tonie) Miller and Jeffrey (Rachel) Miller; four grandchildren, Scott Miller Jr., Ellen Miller, Aaron Miller and Sophia Miller. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Samuel, Richard, John, James, Clinton, Ruth, Corabelle and Edna. Bill was a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He loved his country and was very proud of his service with the Air Force. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Springfield and also a member of the Union Club. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to play golf. Bill was a family man and cherished the time he spent with them. He will be truly missed by all that knew him. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with Chaplain Mark Meyer officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM Friday afternoon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley, 1948 N. Limestone St. Springfield, OH 45503 or the Community Blood Center 2200 N. Limestone St. Springfield, OH 45503. The family has requested anyone that is able to donate blood, please give this gift of life in Bill's memory. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.jacksonlytle.com
