I'm so grateful for Landy's friendship over the years in Houston and after I moved to Orlando. I met Landy in a writing critique group and we became fast friends. Soon, I asked her to join our book club. She was forever kind, thoughtful, and one of the few who sent me cards 'just because.' I continued to be amazed at her spirit and optimism in the face of pain and sorrow. I can't say enough about Landy's talents in artistic crafts, writing, and so much more.
I sure wish I could call her to have lunch at Madeleine's. She will never fade from my memory. Thanks for being my special friend, Landy.

Landy was a dear friend from book club. She was a gifted writer & I was privileged to proof read a book she was working on. She loved doing crafts and making things for her friends. I´m proud to have a beautiful mermaid pillow she made me grace the bed in my guest room. I miss her leadership of our book club and try to follow the path she created.
She suffered greatly from numerous physical problems, but rarely complained. I´m glad she is no longer in pain and she is with God, whom she loved.

Landy will be greatly missed, whether the monthly Book Club meetings at Union Kitchen or the weekly games at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church or otherwise by her many friends in Houston. She always had a smile for everyone and rarely complained, although she had many reasons to complain at times. We loved her dearly and will think of her often. Our condolences to her family. Wish we were close enough to offer them in person. She was a remarkable woman!

We miss you dearly, Landy, here in Houston. You left a gaping hole in our group on Thursdays at Body, Mind, & Spirit. You played rummikub with intensity and tenacity. We miss your introspection at book club at The Union Kitchen. Your interpretation and perspective on the books we read was unique & appreciated. You had AMAZING TALENT! Published author & intellectual. We wish that a memorial were provided for your friends in Houston to honor your memory & life. Rest in peace, dear Landy. We will remember you fondly.
