Larry Jepsen Obituary

Larry Raymond Jepsen May 16, 1940 - July 3, 2022 Larry Raymond Jepsen, age 82, of Laurie, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. He was born May 16, 1940, in Battle Creek, Iowa, a son of the late Raymond and Lucille (Baeth) Jepsen. He was united in marriage to Barbara Miaczynski who preceded him in death on September 16, 1982. On February 16, 1985, he married his surviving wife, Mary Zumbehl. Larry grew up on a farm in Iowa and occasionally enjoyed going back to Schleswig to help his brother and dad for many years. He worked as ground support for Eastern Airlines for thirty years until his retirement. He and Mary moved to the lake in 1990 and owned Laurie Bait and Tackle Bass Pro for fifteen years. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a member of the West Lake Christian Church in Laurie. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his children, Brenda Jepsen, Donna Kuhl, Doreen Morgan, Janine Mayberry, Gayle Hofeling and Stephen Zumbehl; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Loren Jepsen; sister, Joan Paulsen and many other relatives and friends.
