Janel Voirol

Janel Voirol, 53, of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her residence.

Janel was born on October 11, 1970 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Joseph L. Wagner and Judith R. (Marquardt) Wagner. Her father preceded her in death in 2017 and her mother survives.

Janel was united in marriage to David Voirol on January 19, 2001 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he survives.

Janel was a member of the American Legion Post #420 Auxiliary. She attended the Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Decatur. Janel was a financial counselor with Lutheran Health Physicians (CHS) in Fort Wayne for over 28 years.

Janel loved to ride with David on their motorcycle. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flower beds, and watching the hummingbirds around their home. Janel loved her cat, Mable, and her dog, Abby, which brought her great comfort over the past two years. She was very caring, always ready to help everyone. One of her favorite joys was shopping with her daughter, Catherine.

Survivors include her husband, David Voirol of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Catherine (Nicholas) Louis of Monroeville, Indiana; mother, Judith Marquardt Wagner of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Jeanette Pierce of Monroeville, Indiana; and brother, Jeffrey (Lori) Wagner of Monroeville, Indiana.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, in Monroeville, Indiana, with Pastor John McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in Monroeville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Preferred memorials can be given to Riley Children's Hospital.
