Alfonso VITOLO Obituary

Alfonso V. Vitolo Of Cape May Court House and formerly of New Castle. Age 80. Died Monday, May 17 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. Mr. Vitolo owned and operated AV Vitolo Wholesale Food Distributors, Inc. in Wilmington for 20 years. He was an active member of the De La Warr Band Boosters and held the office of President for 3 years. Mr. Vitolo was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. He retired from the Delaware National Guard as Lieutenant Colonel with the New Castle First Battalion. Mr. Vitolo and his wife retired to Cape May Court House in 1981. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn B. Vitolo; 2 daughters, Julie S. Parker of Washington Township, NJ, Arta I. Vitolo of Landenberg, PA; a son-in-law, Kenneth K. Parker; 2 nephews, George DiFrancesco of Downington, PA, Wayne DiFrancesco of West Grove, PA; an aunt, Mary Flore of Ravena, OH as well as 2 granddaughters, Kristin A. and Arielle M. Parker. Visitation Wednesday, May 19 from 7-9 p.m. at Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware St., New Castle. Funeral ceremony Thursday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Gebhart Funeral Home.
