Raniere "Anne"
Angeladea Frances Raniere, of Wilmington, DE, passed away November 26, 2006, at the age of 95, after a lifetime of loving and being loved by her family.
The oldest child of Arthur and Frances Giampetro DiSabatino, she was born in Wilmington on August 22, 1911. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Angeladea Flora DiSabatino, but her father called her Angela. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School, Class of 1930. Her family was her greatest treasure; she was a devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother. She enjoyed her involvement in many organizations and fund raising projects for St. Anthony of Padua, St. Helena's and Immaculate Heart of Mary Churches and schools. She loved traveling and entertaining. Anne's greatest joy came from being with her family and being a homemaker extraordinaire. Her devoted husband of 49 years, Alfred R. "Fritz" Raniere, the founder of one of Delaware's best known construction companies, DiSabatino & Raniere, died in 1985.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynne R. Ball and her husband, Whitman of Exton, PA; son, Laurence A. Raniere and his wife, Marcia of Wilmington; daughter, Cynthia R. Everett and her husband, Douglas of Birchrunville, PA; grandchildren, William W. Ball, Jr., and his wife, JoAnn of West Chester; Robert A. Ball and his wife, Pamela of Downingtown, Christopher L. Raniere, II of San Francisco, Samantha D. Raniere and her husband, Brian P. Kearney of San Francisco, Brooke A. Everett of Philadelphia; great-grandsons, Jamie, Andrew, Daniel and Garrett Ball; 2 brothers, Ernest J. DiSabatino of Bonita Springs, FL and Joseph D. DiSabatino; and 2 sisters, Edith D. Minutella and Eleanor D. Lowe of Wilmington also survive her. In addition to her parents and husband, a sister, Mary D. Belefonte; and two brothers, Arthur F. DiSabatino, Jr. and Anthony P. DiSabatino, Sr., preceded her in death.
The visitation will be held 9-10:30 am, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ninth and DuPont St., Wilmington, DE, preceding the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be offered at St. Anthony's on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
Anne's children would like to thank the Nursing Staff and Aides at Forwood Manor Health Care Center, Dr. Hugh Bonner, Jr., and Dr. Richard Plotzker for their loving care of their mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony of Padua Endowment Fund, 905 DuPont Street, Wilmington, DE 19805.
