Barbara Maile Obituary
"Barb"
Barbara M. Maile of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2013. Barbara was the daughter of John and Emily McManus of Bellefonte, DE.
Barbara graduated from P.S DuPont High School and began her career at Diamond State Telephone and retired from Verizon after 30 years of service in 1993. Barbara loved to travel and vacation at her home in Broadkill Beach. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting as a hobby. She had a soft spot for animals and supported local animal shelters.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 35 years Vincent Maile; sister Arline Fisher and husband Wayne of Wilmington; daughter Linda Saienni and husband Joseph; son Michael Schmidt of Wilmington; step-son Joseph Maile and wife Kathleen of Cary, NC; step-daughter Lenora Mullen and husband Philip of Wilmington; step-daughter Lisa Trowbridge and husband Dennis of Norristown, PA; nieces Pamela Long and husband Richard and Nina Balzerini and husband Michael, all of Pike Creek; and the loves of her life, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713 would be greatly appreciated.
