Barbara Ann Moroskie, age 79, of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

Barbara was born in Shamokin, PA, to the late Lester and Veronica Schuck Wormald. She graduated from St. Edward's High School and married David A. Moroskie in 1955. They settled in Scotch Plains, NJ. then subsequently moved to the San Francisco Bay area and Mechanicsburg, PA before relocating to Hockessin, DE in 1981.

Barbara loved games of knowledge, excelling at Jeopardy, Trivial Pursuit and the New York Times crossword. She was a parishioner for 34 years at St. Mary of the Assumption, her spiritual beliefs were devout. She was a renowned baker of pies, and she loved luncheons and shopping with her daughters and family. Barbara's other passion was her grandchildren, she reveled in their accomplishments and was an active presence in their lives.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband, David A., survived by her daughters; Sharon Darlow and her husband Lloyd, of Ithica, NY and Susan Moroskie of Elkton, MD, a brother, Richard Wormald of Ellenton, FL, her grandchildren; Kyle Darlow, of Ithaca, NY; Ari Darlow, of Buffalo, NY and Veronica Darlow of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the mass from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 1516 Ashland-Clinton School Road, Ashland, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to Catholic Charities, 2601 W. 4th Street, Wilmington, DE 19805.
