Betty L. Stallard

Newark - Betty L. Stallard, 92, of Newark, DE passed away on Sunday January, 17, 2021 at home. Born is Boissevain, VA, the daughter of Jessie James and Maggie Alice Snell. Betty moved to Delaware in 1954 with her husband, Wade A. Stallard. Betty was employed in food service at the University of Delaware until her retirement in 1977.

She is survived by her 2 children, Earl G. (Claudia) Stallard, Sr. and Phyllis A. (Bill) Pyle; 5 grandchildren, Bill (Danielle) Pyle, Tammy Stallard-Elwood, Brian (Aleks) Pyle, Earl (Janet) Stallard, Jr. and Joshua (Kady) Stallard; 8 great grandchildren, Hannah Clough, Brianna Towers, Liam Pyle, Dylan Stallard, Meghan Pyle, Kayla Elwood, Katya Pyle, and McKenna Stallard; and 4 sisters, Eva Rineer, Marie Jacques, Virginia White and Shelby Cook-Cody. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wade; parents, Jessie and Maggie Snell; brother, Robert William Snell and sister, Mable Baker.

The family would like to recognize CCVNA aides, Lori Phillips, Gianna "Gigi" Wolf-White and Marilyn Hawker, as well as her Seasons Hospice nurse, Mary Beth Cooksley, for the exceptional care they provided for Betty.
