AGE: 96 • Wilmington
Dr. Fleming departed this life Sunday, April 19, 2015 in Wilmington, DE. Wife of the the late Daniel E. Fleming, Sr; mother of Daniel E. Fleming (Cheryl); daughter of the late William Arthur Thomas and Mary B. Miles; 2 grandchildren, Danielle Jordan and Justin Daniel; a host of other relatives and friends. Dr. Fleming was retired from the Delaware Public School System as an Educator and School District Administrator. She was a member of a vast array of community and civic organizations and was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. There will be a public viewing for Dr. Fleming on Fri., April 24th from 6pm-8pm at Zion Lutheran Church, 2101 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington, DE 19805. Her funeral service will take place 10am, Sat., April 25th at Zion Lutheran Church, followed by her burial in Silverbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice House, Zion Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice.

Such a warm hearted person. Blanche and I spent many, many years in planning, implementing, and assessing educational programs in the Red Clay Consolidated School District and the Wilmington School District. Hard to believe that she is no longer with us.

Dr. Fleming touched, taught, helped, counseled, mentored, loved and was a friend to all she encountered. Her life was a wealth of love, information and kindness. I am asking God to bless you with courage to bear the sorrow you feel. Dr. Fleming will be missed. God reached out His hand, stretched His arms, Dr. Fleming reached back, took God's hand, took flight and landed safely in HEAVEN. Fond memories lives in your hearts.
