CATHERINE DIANGELO Obituary

Catherine (Bisio) DiAngelo Mrs. Catherine (Bisio) DiAngelo, 89 of Shipley Manor, Wilmington, formerly of the Antonian, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, July 8, 2001 at her home. Mrs. DiAngelo was born in Cassine, the province of Alexandria in the Piemonte region of Italy on December 12, 1911, one of the six children of the late John Battista & Francesca (Predazzi) Bisio. She came to the United States at the age of 8 and settled in Wilmington. A loving and generous person, she dedicated her entire life to the care of her family. Her husband, Vincent "Nick" DiAngelo, passed away on October 4, 1967. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Frank, John & Joseph Bisio and her sister, Nancy White. Mrs. DiAngelo is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Anita V. & O. Francis Biondi of Wilm.; her grandchildren, O. Francis Biondi, Jr. of NY and Mary Catherine Biondi of Wilm.; her great granddaughter, Serena Crossley Biondi of NY; her sister, Mary Ciano of Wilm.; and 8 nieces & nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 9th & DuPont Sts. on Wednesday morning, July 11 at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow in the Crypt of St. Agnes, Cathedral Cemetery. Calling hours will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. DiAngelo's memory to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont St., Wilm., DE 19805 or Compassionate Care Hospice, 256 Chapman Rd., Ste. 201A, Newark, DE 19702. CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME 2309 Lancaster Ave., Wilm.
