Brutscher Miller
Formerly of Kennett Square, PA died November 6, 2005 at Crosslands. She was the widow of the late George J. Brutscher, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. She later married Everitt Miller who also pre-deceased her.
She was born in Wilmington, DE to the late John Leo and Sarah Guiliano Leo, and was the sister of the late Mary Leo Donahue. After graduation from Goldey Beacom, Cass worked as a secretary to the commander at the New Castle Air Base, where she met and married Capt. Brutscher in the romantic era of World War II. Cass was a homemaker and is remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a life-long parishioner of St. Patrick Church. As a member of the Kennett Square Golf & Country Club, she was an avid golfer and tennis player. She also enjoyed gardening and was a 20-year member of the Spade and Trowel Club.
She is survived by her sons, George A. Brutscher of West Chester and Dr. Stephen P. Brutscher of Fort Collins, CO; 4 grandsons, Geoffrey, Bart, Matthew and Sean; and 2 great granddaughters, Megan and Sidney.
A mass in her memory will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348, where friends and relatives may call from 10-11. Interment will be private.
