Charles (Chuck) Jester, Sr. Age 69, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on November 7, 2013 at home.

Charles was born to the late Calvin F. and Marie Jester. He graduated from Wilmington High School and retired from the DuPont Company. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing. Charles especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan E. Jester, his son, Charles W. Jester, Jr. and his wife, Kristen, his daughter, Joy M. Jester, and his grandchildren, Terrance, Treyvon, Teniya, Teanna and Emma. He is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Caldwell and her husband, Paul, Jr., his sister-in-law, Cathy Jester, his brother-in-laws, Charles, Thomas, and James Treat, his nephews and nieces ,Paul Caldwell, III (Margie), Sharon Harden (Stephen), Sandra Caldwell, Ronnie Caldwell (Cindy), best friends, Gerald and Angie Henry and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Calvin F. Jester, Jr.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday evening, November 12, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOME, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilm., DE 19808. A service will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 11 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. Dupont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.
