Charles Melson Obituary
AGE: 95 • Harbeson
Charles T. Melson, Jr., age 95 of Harbeson, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home.
He was born in Lewes, DE on January 9, 1920 son of the late Charles T. and Edith (Pierce) Melson. Mr. Melson proudly served his country in the Signal Corps during WWII for the United States Army. He was deployed in Australia and in the Philippines and also served at the Pentagon.
Mr. Melson owned and was the broker of Melson Real Estate and also served as the secretary of the Lewes & Rehoboth Building & Loan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eva G. Melson in 2012. He is survived by his son, C.T. Melson, III and his wife Marcia; a granddaughter, Katie Allen and her husband Glenn; a grandson, C.T. Melson, IV and his wife, Jennifer; 4 great grandchildren, Jessica, Charles V, Elizabeth and Christopher and a step great granddaughter, McKenzie.
Services and burial are private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Charles' name to Vitas Hospice, 1016 N. Walnut Street, Milford, DE 19963.
