Charlie (Sonny) Thompson, Jr.

Wilmington, DE - Born in South Carolina on December 8, 1946; departed this life on Sunday September 9th, 2018.

Mr. Thompson was an employee of Wiltex Textile Company in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, sibling, relative, and friend. He leaves to cherish his wife, Linda Mae Thompson; his children, Corey Thompson, Lenesha Knight, Charlie Thompson III; his mother, Alberta Thompson; 8 siblings; 5 grandchildren; 6 brother-in-laws; 8 sister-in laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Service of celebration will be held Saturday, September 15, at 9:00 a.m at Ezion Fair Baptist Church, 1400 B. Street Wilmington, Delaware. Viewing from 7 - 8:45 a.m.; with formal home going services to follow. Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

Dear Linda, i was saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. He was such a wonderful person. Charlie was always smiling and just an all around great guy. Please know I send my love to you and your family God Bless all.
