Elkton, MD - Christian Allen "Chris" Boulden, age 54, of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020.
Mr. Boulden was co-owner of Certified Automotive, Inc., Wilmington, DE.
Prayer Service will be held 5 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2020, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christiana Care, Union Hospital Foundation, in care of the funeral home at the above address.

I have known Chris since his days at Goodyear. He has serviced my wife and my car and my sons vehicles for all those years. One of the best businessmen I have run into. Easy to talk to and great at explaining automotive issues. That and one of the most pleasant personalities I have met in my 61 years. Just a pleasure to deal with. I was just thinking about Chris and Certified last week. It had been a while since I had service. Unreal. Will miss him. Condolences to the children, family and Chuck.

My prayers go out to Sherie, their children, family members, and all relatives, friends -- words cannot describe my heartfelt condolences. Chris was a friend of many, I am fortunate to have been one of those friends. May all family and friends remember Chris for the caring, loving husband, father, sibling that he was, and will continue to be, as we all continue to keep his life a prominent part of our everyday memories.

Chris was gifted with knowledge and business manners that gave me confidence in auto maintenance decisions for over a decade. That confidence I had was derived from Chris' ability to explain things with patience, knowledge and a caring commitment to his customers. An honorable man indeed. But to me Chris was far more than a trusted businessman. Chris provided that same wonderful service to my family and friends. He would often take time to chat about things we had in common, be it boating, traveling, building things..... He is one of my most favorite of any person whom I had the privilege to know. He was like family to us all. I looked forward to taking any of my company's vehicles in for maintenance as well as my own. I so enjoyed the opportunity to have the chance to talk with him when possible. There were many times he was far to busy to chat and that was ok. He was taking care of people. Something he did extremely well. As so many miss this admiral man I too miss Chris. We all are lucky to have known him in so many ways. May the Lord accept Chris into his Kingdom and may we all see him again. My deepest sympathy and most earnest prayers for the family, friends and Chuck. I wish you comfort in each other and in the memories you share. God Bless.
