Cannot think about Uncle Otis without thinking about Aunt Daisy, too. What a legacy! Such a fruitful harvest that is generations strong. Saluting a life that was long, loving, and loyal.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies on the transitioning of Aunt Daisy. She enjoyed an extraordinary long life and an equally long union with Uncle Otis. What a double blessing. Know that you enjoyed a rare privilege in bearing witness to such a full and fruitful life. Her undeniable legacy are the four generations that follow her, Each one an extension of Aunt Daisy's example and broad influence. I pray in the coming days your unimaginable sorrow gives way to enduring joy when you are able to reflect on what a true blessing it was to have enjoyed Aunt Daisy for so very long. What rich memories will now sustain you and always remind you of her essence. During this difficult time, may God keep and console you.
Respectfully,
Chrys Mills

I don't especially like coming back to Lockwood Street now that all of the good old days are gone. Aunt Daisy, Mom Daisy and sometimes Ms. Daisy was what I called her. She was always very sweet. My mind flashes way, way back to the days of long ago. I will always remember Alberta, Everett, Uncle Otis, Ms. Lydie, Uncle Si and now Aunt Daisy when I think of Lockwood Street. Wow, those were the good old days! I loved coming to Middletown where there was so much love and happiness coming from East Lockwood Street.....the trips to Wilmington in the back of the station wagon with Alberta driving Mom Lydie, talks on the front porch as we observed the passerbys, gatherings in the family room and the fabulous family dinners...I will always remember. An ordinary day always seemed special and I loved staying with Alberta just for the love of it all. Gone are the good old days, but death can not take away the memories or the love. Vesteria and my Jefferson family, you were blessed to have her for so many years and she was blessed to have you. You all showed her so much love right down to the very last minute of her life. I am praying for strength for each of you. You took excellent care of her, and the only one who can top your care is God. She is in good hands, so don't you worry. God be with and bless my family.
