Age 87, of Newark, DE, died January 25, 2006, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness.
A Navy veteran of WWII, he was a member of VFW Atterbury Post #3420 in Newark. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved NASCAR.
Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Mary J. Saxton; sons, David C. Saxton, and his wife, Janette, of Hockessin, and Charles P. Saxton, and his wife, Patricia, of Earleville, MD; and stepdaughters, Jean Bennett. and her husband. Richard. of Montchanin, Patricia Bailey. and her husband. Butch. of Camden-Wyoming, and Sharon Justice. of Smyrna. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
The service and interment will be held privately in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
