DERK AVENARIUS Obituary
Age 63, of Bear, DE, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 14, 2008.
Derk owned and operated Avenarius & Associates, a graphic design company which he started in 1991. He loved being with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, working in the garden; he was an avid photographer, talented artist and enjoyed traveling.
Derk is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rosemary; a son, Willem Michael Daan Avenarius and his wife Julie; a daughter, Melanie Joy Butler and her husband Johnny; 3 sisters, Anneke Avenarius, Aggie Van Ruiven and Nellie Avenarius; 5 grandchildren, Willem, Zachery, Jason, Sarah and Alexander. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johannes and Joy (Steins) Avenarius. Derk's wish is for family and friends to "Celebrate His Life" at his family's home on Saturday, March 22, at 3 pm.
