Mr. Ridgeway departed this life June 20, 2015. Husband of Darlene Ridgeway; father of Darryl, Camilla, Candice, Dennika, Don, and Jason; son of the late Veal and Emmie Lee Ridgeway; 8 grandchildren, Danielle, Aliya, Scott, Ryan, Taylor, Evan, David and Eden; 3 siblings, Jackie, Dee and John Ridgeway; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Ridgeway worked in the accounting field for over 40 years. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Prince Hall Masons, and The Crew. Funeral 10AM, Sat., June 27th at Canaan Baptist Church, 3011 New Castle Ave., New Castle, DE 19720; viewing 8-9:45am only. Burial, Gracelawn Memorial Park

"Uncle Don" as I called him was an awesome man. I learned so much working with him at the office. I will never forget how he shared so much wisdom to me. I will never forget this great God fearing man. Uncle Don rest you will be missed.

The loss of Mr. Don Ridgeway is a tremendous loss to the Prado family, which regarded Mr. Ridgeway as part of the family. Don was a trusted friend who served as the accountant for Jesus and Maria Prado, Antonio and Edith Prado, Antonio and Kelly Prado, Sammy and Jennifer Prado, and more. His dignity, grace, wisdom, fear of God, and knowledge of Uncle Sam's IRS to was an incredible and calming influence upon our lives. We shall miss Don so greatly. We love you.

Don was a very kind, spiritual man and truly devoted son. He doted over Mother Ridgeway and made certain that she was able to attend church services and events whenever she felt up to it. He kept tight reins on the church's finances when he served as a trustee at Ezion Fair Baptist Church for many years. He will be sorely missed. Family, turn to God for comfort and strength.

Our prayers are with you. Denise and I have known dridge as we called him on Harrison street it seems like all of our life. When he moved on Harrison it felt like we had known him forever that's the way he treated people. He was always there to guide and council us and even invited us in to read in his library. He always told us in order to be respected we had to do things that would cause us to be respected. We will surely miss him. God bless you all if there is anything that we can do for you don't hesitate to call. House of Judah.

I will never forget the time, energy, effort, and finances put forth by Mr. Don as the Road Manager for Delaware's R & B Group "Just A Nuff". Mr. Don would continually teach and remind us (as young men) how to be respectful, accountable, and professional businessmen while pursuing our goals in the industry of music. Never short on patience, he was always willing to assist any one of us in whatever way he could be of help as we matured from teenage young men to adults. His impact on our lives has been immeasurable and his father-like demeanor, his humor, and the soft tone in which he would speak will be greatly missed. Rest in God's love Mr. Don!
