Donna Saienni Obituary

Donna Saienni

Ms. Donna Marie Witz Saienni, age 63, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Donna was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 8, 1950, daughter of the late John Joseph Witz and Duane Opal Corson Witz. Well known for her excellent work ethic, she had been employed as a sales representative with The Briggs Company in New Castle since 1979.

In 2012, Donna was very happy to have finally been able to purchase her forever home. She made sure that her new home was going to be a "home sweet home" for her daughter and her grandchildren when she was gone, because that's the kind of wonderful person Donna was. She was the glue that held her family together and remained their rock throughout her life.

Donna greatly enjoyed sports and was a huge fan of both the Phillies and the Eagles--she never missed a single game! She delighted most of all in spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila M. Saienni of New Castle; brothers, John J. Witz, Jr. (Linda), Francis J. Witz, and James J. Witz; sisters, Anne M. Cline and Brenda M. Witz Casper; grandchildren, Joseph (Brittany), PJ (Katelyn), Tyler, Kelsey (Raul Sr.), and Moggie; great grandchildren, Paisley Julianna Saienni and Raul Garay, Jr.; and former husband, Sammy Saienni. We know that Donna is at peace and is watching over us with her mother, father, and sister, Duane.

Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, September 20th, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 21st, at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, Garfield Park, New Castle. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
