AGE: 96 • Wilmington
Elva Marcinizyn, age 96 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Palm Harbor, FL.
Elva (Babci) retired from A & P after 40 years of service. She loved spending time at her place in Avalon, traveling and being with her family. She always was ready to go and never let grass grow under her feet. She was a member of St. Hedwig Church, Wilmington, DE and a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
Her husband of 62 ½ years, John Marcinizyn passed away in April of 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Cirillo and her son, John Marcinizyn, 6 grandsons, 4 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11am, in St. Hedwig Church, Linden & S. Harrison Sts., Wilmington, DE. Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation for Elva will take place in St. Hedwig Church starting at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to: Brookside Hospice House, 164 W. Lake Road, Palm Harbor, FL 34684.

I knew elva for 20 years of her visits to the concord suites in avalon. My husband John and I loved seeing her every season and very much enjoyed talking with her. She will be sadly missed by us all at concord suites. We love you elva rest in peace. John and sharon jones

What a wonderful lady. A loving mother, grandmother. and great grandmother. I spoke only limited Polish to her but she loved it (I think). She thought my pronunciation was good and I was happy to bring a smile to her face .She was simply a GOOD person and I know she'll be missed. John DiEleuterio
