Of Murrysville, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
Born the son of the late Michael S. Marcinizyn and the late Marie (Ewing) Marcinizyn.
Beloved husband of April L. (Wlahofsky) Marcinizyn for 25 wonderful years.
Loving father of Michael R. (Angela) Marcinizyn of Murrysville.
Cherished grandfather of Michael J., Angelina, James, and Rocco Marcinizyn.
Dear brother of Marie (the late Tom) Dragisic, Dennis (Mary) Marcinizyn, and Paul (Joyce) Marcinizyn.
Adored son in law of Eugene "Pudge" and Audrey Wlahofsky. Brother in law of Gary and Gregory Wlahofsky.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mike was a 1965 graduate of Gateway High School, where he played football, baseball, and basketball. He was also a 1972 graduate of Robert Morris University, having earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He then began a highly successful career in franchise sales for over 45 years before retiring in 2016. Mike took great pride in his profession and was continuously motivated to improve his skillset. Mike served as President of the Board of Directors for both the Franklin Towne Housing Association in Murrysville and the Linkside Housing Association in Nags Head, North Carolina. He was an avid golfer and fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Mike was a devout member of St. Bernadette Church in Monroeville. Most of all, Mike treasured the memories he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for his generous and kindhearted personality towards anyone he was near.
Friends are welcome Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory; 1111 Monroeville Ave.; Turtle Creek, PA 15145; (412) 823-9350.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Bernadette Church of Christ, the Divine Shepherd Parish.
