Hattie Rudniak Obituary

Hattie C. Rudniak

Of Clayton, DE, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Saturday, June 9, 2012. She was 90.

Mrs. Rudniak was born October 13, 1921 in Barnwell, SC, the daughter of the late William H. and Annie M. Carter. Hattie retired after 17 years of work as a Nurse's Aide for the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna, DE. She enjoyed watching her humming birds, gardening, and her pets.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Rudniak; a brother, William R. Carter; and a sister, Marjorie Farrell. She is survived by her sister, Hazel C. Rudniak of Wilmington, DE; several nieces and nephews; many friends; and her dear friend and caretaker, Linda DeVincentis.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 10 am to 11 am in St. Polycarp's Roman Catholic Church, located at 135 Ransom Lane in Smyrna.

Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 am in the church. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kent County S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934.
