Henry Kahn Obituary
Wilmington - Age 94, of Wilmington, DE passed away April 10, 2018.
Henry was born in Bendzin, Poland, in 1923. At the age of 16, Henry's life, along with his family changed for the worst as his hometown was occupied by the Nazis. He and his brother Joseph are the only ones left from their family. They survived six concentration and labor camps, along with a 120 mile death march.
Henry came to the US in 1950 and built a wonderful life for his wife, Edith and two children, Leonard and Rochelle. He is also blessed and survived by his six grandchildren, Olivia, Arielle, Jared, Evan, Alexandra, and Sophie. His grandchildren which are the new generation gave him his purpose in life.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Jewish Community Cemetery, 401 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. Shiva will be observed 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 15 and Monday, April 16 at the late residence.

Lenny, Rochelle, and families,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your father, Henry. I remember him fondly growing up. He was a kind man, who always had a smile on his face, and my grandmother loved him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

I did not know you Mr.Kahn, but I read your obit here, and got to thinking about what you must have gone through as a child. The strength you had to live through the horrors of that time is an inspiration to today's generation; it shows that no matter how bad things get, we can get through it. God bless you Mr. Kahn, and I hope you are at peace and rejoicing in heaven with the beloved family that were taken from you so ago.
