He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Hedy Mintz; daughters, Michelle Jasper Brody, Ilana Abekasis (Liran) and Rina Mintz; sons, Goel Jasper (Gilla) and Ari Jasper (Lisa); brother, Myron Mintz (Joanne); and grandchildren, Ezra, Tzvi, Tehilla, Temima, Nili, Yitzchak, Hodaya, Yaffa, Anina, Raphael, Theodore and Ruby.

Howard was a native of Wilmington, DE. He was born on August 5, 1946 and attended P.S. duPont High School. He left home at 17, went to Santa Rosa Junior College and earned an Associates Degree. Howard eventually graduated from Temple University. He became the consummate businessman, working as a successful sportswear buyer for J.C. Penney, and moving on to run many successful businesses along the way. Ultimately, he made his way back to Delaware, via Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

His most recent endeavor, Printcrafters, was jointly run with his loving wife, Hedy, who was always at his side. After selling the business, Howard developed expertise in stock trading and enjoyed days in his home office surrounded by monitors, completing his trades.

Howard will be remembered always for his "joie de vivre" and a great sense of humor. His drive to enjoy life permeated his efforts in business and with family and friends. He faced many health challenges but, with Hedy's unending loving support, he managed always to succeed and enjoy life as he helped those around him to do the same. In accordance with Howard's wish, he will be buried in Israel.

The family will welcome family and friends during the Shiva period from Tuesday through Sunday. Shiva services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday evening at the late residence; 7:30 pm Thursday evening at Chabad Lubavitch of Delaware, 1811 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19803; 9:10 pm Saturday evening at the late residence; morning services will be 7:00 am Wednesday through Sunday at Chabad Lubavitch of Delaware. I'll always cherish the memories I had with your family. It meant so much to me that you all invited me into your home as one of your own, especially during the holidays. Howard always brightened the room with his warm smile and laugh. He will be missed greatly.
