J. Lewis Obituary

Lewis J. Yedinak, Sr., (Joe)

Age 62, of Elkton, MD, passed away April 29, 2011, at Union Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Elkton, MD on January 1, 1949, Joe was the son of the late Henry and Katherine Demond Yedinak. He was a 1968 graduate of Elkton High School. He was retired from AMTRAK and was an active member of Moose Lodge 851 for 35 years. Joe genuinely enjoyed life, especially gardening and horses. A devoted family man, he adored his grandchildren. Joe will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife 42 years, Donna Yedinak of Elkton; two children, Joseph Yedinak, Jr. of Elkton and Michael Yedinak and wife Michele of Elkton; four grandchildren, Jordyn Yedinak, Abby Neal, Paige and Connor Yedinak. He also leaves behind three sisters, Patricia Charshee, Brenda Hunt, Diane Moon and a brother John Yedinak as well as nieces, nephews and in laws. He was preceded in death by his sister Carole Dorsey.

A service honoring Joe's life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. (formerly Gee Funeral Home), 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Thursday May 5, at 12 noon. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Wednesday May 4 from 6-8 pm or Thursday 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
