My Cousin Jay always seemed to have a smile for everyone and a very jovial demeanor. I was very sorry to learn of his passing and extend my deepest condolences to my cousins Sue, Sandy and Marc. I'm sorry I could not attend shiva and share my thoughts in person.

I remember how much I enjoyed talking with Jay on many happy family occasions. I remember him examining my eyes and getting me my first pair of glasses. He was also the first person to show me a darkroom and demonstrate the magic of photography.

Jay clearly derived a great deal of pleasure from his family, and I hope you all take comfort in knowing the great joy you brought to his life. He leaves lasting, wonderful memories with a great many people, me among them.
