Jeffrey Sherman Obituary

Jeffrey Todd Sherman

Dallas, TX - Jeffery Todd Sherman, 39, died Monday, May 14, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

He was a graduate of Woodstown High School in Woodstown, NJ. He held a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), also from Salisbury University. Jeff earned a Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers. He worked for Affiliated Power Purchasers, International (APPI), Salisbury, MD as Director of Consulting for 15 years. Recently he worked for AMERIgreen Energy, Lancaster, PA as Director of Business Development and opened AMERIgreen's Dallas Texas office.

Jeff loved life and made it enjoyable for everyone who knew him. His great sense of humor, his zest for life, and his enthusiasm for all that he did was evident to all. He loved all sports and excelled in soccer, tennis and swimming. Because of his love for swimming, he spent many summers as a lifeguard in Ocean City, MD. Jeff was also an avid sports fan and never gave up his allegiance to the Philadelphia teams, even though he moved from the area many years ago. One of his happiest moments was the Eagles winning the Super Bowl.

He was predeceased by his father, Scott A. Sherman, and his brother, Scott B. Sherman. He is survived by his mother, Judy Sherman of Wilmington, DE.

There will be no service at the present time; however, there will be a celebration of his life at a later date.

As I promised last year...same time, same place, my friend. And, in the interim, your beloved Eagles delivered another Super Bowl trophy...so wish we could've talked though the game's every detail...will always miss you, buddy.

:"Only time will heal your pain, he is in a better place" they all said 7 years ago; I suppose I have finally accepted it. However, I still break down silently; when I want to talk to you. Or I hear one of those darn songs sang by your dude Phil Collins, or it's the Eagles/Phillies win. Your mother and I speak frequently about what we think you would of said about all that has happened in the world this past year. Fly high my love, thank you for keeping us safe, sending me positive people, things, random visits in my dreams and peace.

Remembering you on the anniversary of your passing. Interestingly, I am visiting Florida now which is where you went to college. Missing you and sending my love and blessings.

Another year has gone by, Jeff, six now since we lost you. While time has healed the wound to some extent, it'll never heal completely. I'll always mourn your passing, my friend and you'll never be forgotten. Same time next year, buddy. Maybe the Phiilies will have celebrated a World Series victory in the meantime. They're off to a great start and are the best team in MLB.

Holly.

Jeff- I miss our talks, I wish I could talk to you. I miss you so badly, not a day passes that I don't think of you. Thank you for your random visits when I am dreaming, they bring me peace when I need it the most. I love you and I know you watch over us. 4EVER39JTS

It's almost impossible to believe you've been gone for five years, Jeff. The sense of loss is as acute now as it was in 2018; and I know it always will be. As Ken Watanabe said to Tom Cruise in "The Last Samurai," one of my favorite films; "I miss our conversations."

It´s almost your birthday, so many of them we shared. It´s so hard not being able to pick up the phone and talk. Oh what your thoughts would be on the world today. My best friend, my partner in crime, my forever love; I miss you so much. Wish we had one more day or 5 more minutes. Til we meet again

Jeff, it's still hard to accept that you have left us, so enjoyed our last chat. Wish we would have had more. You're in my thoughts.

Rest easy, dear friend.

It's hard to believe this Saturday marks the fourth anniversary of your passing, Jeff. I've experienced quite a few changes in my life during that time. I wish you were here so I could relate them to you and get your thoughts. I'll always miss you, my friend. Go '6ers!

...three years since your passing, Jeff. The profound sense of loss is easing somewhat with the passage of time, although it'll always be with me. I'll forever remember the good work we did together as long time colleagues and the friendship we shared. I miss you, buddy. Oh, by the way, the '6ers are favored to emerge from the NBA East as the postseason nears. But you already know that.

I thought of you throughout the day yesterday, two years since your passing. Those thoughts added another challenge (to these already challenging times); continuing to reconcile losing you. I'm better; however, will always miss you and your friendship.

Jeff,
The Phillies are in first place and the '6ers just missed advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals. But I'm sure you already knew that. The year since your passing has diminished the pain of losing you a bit--so I guess there is some merit to the old adage about time healing all wounds--although I'll always miss you, my friend.

Words cannot express my shock and utter dismay about Jeff's sudden passing. I grew up with Jeff and we were best friends from junior high through high school. We lost touch after high school and I just saw Jeff a few months ago at his father's funeral. I was so glad I went to see him and reminisce, albeit it was a sad occasion. Seeing Jeff that day brought back so many wonderful memories of my childhood that I will carry them with me forever.

I would had never imagined it would be the last time I saw him in person. I know he is in a better place- in heaven- with his father and brother and other loved ones.

My heart, prayers, love, and deepest sympathies go out to the entire Sherman family, particularly Judy. I cannot possibly imagine the pain and sorrow you are going through now but if you ever need a friend, I am always there. Thank you for being so kind to me at Scott's funeral and making me feel welcome, as Jeff did as well. And I thank you and Scott for always being kind, caring, funny and welcoming me and all of Jeff's friends, growing up as kids, into your home, cooking us your amazing hotcakes and taking us on vacation, etc. I will always be grateful.

Jeff, my dear friend, I love you and thank you for being the greatest friend to me. You taught me a lot about life and myself and your love for life was infectious. May you rest in peace in the heavens above forever.

Judy,
I am friend of Scott Sherman senior. We worked together at mannington. I am so sorry to find out all these sad news about his sons and himself passed away. I have moved to Houston Texas 4 years ago but still go back to Wilmington periodically since my younger brother still there and many good tennis friends as well. I have lost in touch with Scott quite few years ago. The last time I saw him was a party at my home in Wilmington of few mannington friends. Bruce jones, David Lan, Hao Chen. Carson berry. I do remember Jeff in his younger days of swimming champion. My deepest condolences to the family.

Deeply saddened by today's news Jeff. While we weren't ever something I would call friends, it's seems life you lived a good life and touched quite a few hearts. I hope you are resting peacefully.

I'll miss you, Jeff; and the frequent, friendly lunch bets on our respective Philadelphia and Pittsburgh teams. Knowing you for the last 11 years--and working closely with you for eight of those--was a distinct pleasure not soon forgotten. Rest in peace, buddy; I'll see you again some day.
