Joan Irene (Schrope) Warner

AGE: 85 • Newark, DE

Joan Irene (Schrope) Warner departed peacefully at her home on June 17, 2016.

Joan was born July 24, 1930 in Hegins, Pennsylvania and graduated from Tri-Valley High School in 1948 and Pennsylvania State University in 1952. Following graduation from Penn State, Joan lived in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, often recollecting on her happy memories there. She married Larry Floyd Warner in 1960 and moved to Newark, Delaware where she remained.

She was preceded by her husband, Larry Floyd Warner and son, David Lawrence Warner. Joan is survived by her son, Christopher Lawrence Warner, daughter-in-Law, Stephanie Marie Hollan Warner and grandchildren, Dalton Kekoa Warner and McKenna Kai Warner.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 am with services following at 11:00 am at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE. Interment will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10:30 am in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
