Ray Scott, retired WPD, told me about Jack's passing because I was an attorney with the City Law Department working with the WPD some years back and knew Jack.
I saw in Jack's obit that his career as a police officer reflected "duty, honor, and integrity." I couldn't agree with that more because it's no exaggeration.
RIP, Jack. You deserve peace for the good that you did.

I knew Jack when i was on WPD and we became good friends. He was one of the best men i ever worked under. He touched alot of people not only on the force, but outside the force. I'll always remember the talks and good times we had. Rest in peace Jack.

Jack was a wealth of information when we served together on the Wilmington Police Department. He was always ready to lend a helping hand no matter what the job required and the smile on his face proved he was sincere about it. He truly was a friend and gentleman.
Jack is serving with God now and still protecting those of us he left behind. May he rest in peace and God Bless you, My Friend....

Cousin Jack and his wife Carol were great role models for me as a kid growing up. Jack was a super police officer and deputy sheriff and I pray God will look over his kids and grand-kids in his absence. What a great guy and sorely missed.

My deepest sympathy, and condolances to the Worrell family. I worked with "Jack" back in the early 1980's at the Wilmington Police Dept. He was one of my Sargeants at the old building, 10th, and French St. He was one of the kindest men I've ever know, and he'll be sincerely miss. "RIP brother."
