Joseph Owens Obituary

Age 56, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.
Joe was a loving and devoted father who was very proud of his children. He worked for the Dupont Company for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Salesianum High School and an avid golfer and football fan. He coached girls softball for Midway and girls basketball for Ursuline. He was an eagle scout and a troop leader for Boy Scout Troop 19.
He is survived by his son, Chad Owens; his daughter, Shelby Owens, his mother, Mary Owens, his sister, Patricia Owens his cousin, Judith Kupelian and her son, Matt all of Wilmington, DE. He was predeceased by his father, H. Willard Owens.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 1 at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Rd. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek on Tuesday evening November 30 from 6-8 pm.
