Dr. Huebner was not only our family physician for a number of years but also a family friend. I remember him fondly as a child and then as teenager. He had such a compassion for his patients and was always there when you needed him. I still have a copy of the book he wrote about his experience in WWII. My father, Benjamin Lanteri, and Dr. Huebner shared many memories of the war.

Dr. Huebner was our family doctor from the time I was a baby until I was in my mid teens. He and his wife were also family friends and my father, Benny Lanteri, worked with Dr. Huebner at Perry Point. He was a wonderful man and compassionate doctor and will be missed. My sister, Renee, and I extend our sympathy to Mrs. Huebner and Karl.

We are truely saddened to hear of your loss of this wonderful man. As a young doctor, fresh from WWII, he saved my life as a young child suffering from pneumonia in both lungs. Then, some years later, Dr. Huebner delivered our first son on 10/5/62, and very possibly saved his life after a long and difficult labor/delivery. North East and it's residents will surely miss this good man.
