AGE: 68 • Wilmington
Nancy L. McSweeney, age 68, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 after a short illness. She was born in Wilmington and graduated from Saint Elizabeth High School. She was retired from Verizon as an operator after 36 years.
Nancy is survived by a sister, Susan Castricum (Wim); brother, Thomas McSweeney, III (Maryclare); sister, Marianna (Daniel Liszewski); aunt, Sister Joseph Marion, IHM; and nieces and nephews. Her mother and father; stepmother; and brother preceded her in death.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 31 from 10:00 - 11:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Office of Mission Advancement, Villa Maria House of Studies, 1140 King Road, Immaculata, PA 19345-0200.

I am saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. I worked with Nancy at the phone company for several years. She was a beautiful person and a real friend. My prayers are with her family right now!
